GINGERBREAD FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients

2 Eggs
125ml Milk
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Ground Ginger
1/4 tsp Ground Clovers
4 Slices Rye Sandwich Bread
1 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Powdered Sugar

How to make it

  • Start by whisking together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves.
  • Submerge each slice of the bread in the liquid for about 20-30 seconds each side.
  • Add the butter to a large non-stick skillet and bring it to a medium heat.
  • Cook slices for about 4 minutes each side.
  • Turn the heat right up at the end to crisp it up a little more.
  • Serve with powdered sugar and berries.
