Okonomiyaki

Ingredients

500g potatoes, grated
1 egg
3 stalks spring onion
Salt & cracked pepper
50ml teriyaki sauce
4 tsp Kewpie mayonnaise

How to make it

  • Start by draining as much water out of the grated potato as you can. Transfer to a large bowl, add the egg, spring onion, salt & cracked pepper, mix to combine.
  • Bring a large frying pan to medium heat and add olive oil.
  • Spoon half the mixture into a pancake shape into the pan.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes each side or until the potato has turned golden. Set aside and cook the remainder of the potato.
  • Add the teriyaki sauce to the same pan and heat on low.
  • Place the pancakes gently back into the pan and coat in the sauce.
  • Remove from the pan, divide on two plates and drizzle with Kewpie mayonnaise and extra spring onions.
